MicroPay Wallet
Solana-based crypto wallet
A mobile wallet built to manage, transfer and swap the Solana-based MicroPay token and other crypto assets.

MicroPay is an ecosystem project built around micropayments: a Solana-based token and a mobile crypto wallet developed for using that token. I, Berke Özyaşar, built the MicroPay Wallet app with React Native as a personal project.
The idea
With small payments, the transaction costs of traditional payment methods often come close to the payment itself. Thanks to low transaction fees and fast confirmation times, Solana offers a suitable infrastructure for payments like these. MicroPay aimed to make this idea concrete with a token and an easy-to-use mobile wallet.
The project had two pillars: the MicroPay token, the base unit of the ecosystem, and the mobile wallet through which users could use that token in everyday life. A token only gains a real use case if it is easy to access, and the wallet was built to provide that access.
What the wallet offers
- Viewing and managing crypto assets on a single screen
- Fast and secure transfers
- Solana integration
- In-app token swaps
Technical approach
I built the wallet with React Native to interact directly with the Solana network. The most critical issue in a crypto wallet is key security: the private key must never leave the device, transactions must never be signed without the user's approval, and users must be able to see clearly what they are signing. On the interface side, I wanted even someone new to crypto to easily understand their balance, transfers and swaps. The swap feature was added so users can move between tokens without leaving the wallet.
My other work involving on-chain transactions is the Polymarket bots running on Polygon. For a mobile app with blockchain integration, see the mobile app development page. The project's website is micropaytoken.com.
