Accounts, cash and cheque tracking
An Android app for shopkeepers and small businesses that brings customer accounts, cash and cheques into one screen, with PDF and Excel reports.
Ultra Cari is a simple app we designed for shopkeepers and small businesses to track customer and supplier accounts, cash and cheques. It was built to manage who owes what, cash movements and cheques from a single place. It is one of our own products, built by our team.
Why
Accounting software is often too cluttered for small businesses, while their daily needs are simple: who owes how much, what's in the till, and which cheque is coming due? Ultra Cari focuses on answering those questions quickly. Thanks to the quick-entry screen, a collection or payment takes just a few taps, without digging through complicated menus.
Features
- Overview screen: net position, total receivables and payables; cash, bank and cheque balances; a weekly money-in and money-out view
- Accounts: customer and supplier cards, real-time balances, detailed account statements
- Cash: collection, payment and purchase records, current cash position
- Cheque portfolio: due-date tracking for cheques received and issued
- Reports: export and share period summaries and statements as PDF, Excel or HTML

Technical approach
I built the app with React Native. The interface priority was to make the most frequent actions reachable in one tap from the main screen: the collection, payment and purchase buttons sit right below the summary cards, and the new-entry button sits in the middle of the bottom navigation bar. The bottom menu is split into overview, cash, accounts and reports screens, and there is an account switcher for moving between multiple accounts.
Şantiyepro, built under the same roof, also handles cash and account tracking at construction-site scale; Ultra Cari, on the other hand, focuses on the shop counter and the office rather than the field. I, Berke Özyaşar, approach business apps like this as part of mobile app development and SaaS product development.
