All Financial Market Watcher

All Financial Market Watcher is an Android app I built for following financial markets around the world from a single app. Forex pairs, stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities and precious metals can be tracked in the same interface with live price updates. I, Berke Özyaşar, built the app as a personal project and published it on Google Play.

Why

Someone who follows several markets usually uses one app for currencies, another for crypto and a third for news. The goal of this app was to bring them together on one screen and let you review price changes through a clean interface.

Features

• Live market data: major forex pairs, global stocks, more than 5,000 cryptocurrencies, gold, silver and commodities
• Price alerts: set a target price for any instrument and get notified
• News feed: financial news gathered from sources such as Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, CNBC and CoinDesk
• Dark mode support

Technical approach

I built the app with React Native. In an app that works with real-time data, the real job is keeping prices for a large number of instruments up to date while keeping the interface smooth. I kept that balance in mind throughout development. And because different markets have different price formats and trading hours, showing forex, stock, crypto and commodity data consistently in the same interface took extra effort. The first versions focused on price tracking; custom price alerts were added in later versions.

My other market-related work includes the Expert Advisors and indicators I write for MetaTrader and the Polymarket bots. For work in this area, take a look at the trading bots page.

Status

All Financial Market Watcher is live on Google Play for Android.
