MetaTrader EAs and Indicators
MQL4 and MQL5 trading robots
Expert Advisors and custom indicators for MetaTrader 4 and 5 written in MQL4/MQL5, plus Pine Script indicators for TradingView.
This page covers the trading robots and technical indicators I have built for the MetaTrader and TradingView platforms. I, Berke Özyaşar, write Expert Advisors (EAs) and custom indicators in MQL4 and MQL5 for MetaTrader 4 and 5, and Pine Script indicators for TradingView. I work both on custom strategies for clients and on my own experiments.
What I build
- Expert Advisors: robots that run a strategy automatically on MetaTrader from start to finish
- Custom indicators: technical analysis indicators, price action and volume analysis tools
- Risk management: capital protection, position sizing and stop-loss logic
- TradingView indicators: Pine Script indicators you can add to your charts
- Backtesting and optimization: testing the strategy on historical data and tuning its parameters
How I work
Every job starts with a written, measurable definition of the strategy: entry and exit conditions, timeframe, position size, and the situations in which no trade should be opened. I then write the code as readable modules that follow MQL5's OnInit, OnTick and OnDeinit structure. I test it on historical data in the Strategy Tester, stay careful about overfitting during optimization and, where possible, recommend forward testing on a demo account. For robots that need to run around the clock, VPS setup is also part of the process.
I walk through this process step by step in the MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor development post. On the market data side I built the All Financial Market Watcher app, and for prediction markets the Polymarket bots. For your own strategy, take a look at the trading bots page.
Note: The robots and indicators I build come with no promise of returns; market conditions, leverage and trading costs directly affect results.
