ProCalc Supreme
Professional calculator
An Android calculator with standard, scientific, finance and programmer modes, plus a converter covering 126 units in 18 categories.

ProCalc Supreme is a calculator that brings different needs together in one app, from everyday sums to scientific functions and from finance tools to a programmer mode. I, Berke Özyaşar, built the app as a personal project and published it on Google Play.
Why
The default calculators on phones are fine for basic arithmetic, but when you need to calculate VAT, convert one unit to another or work with hexadecimal numbers, you have to switch to separate apps. ProCalc Supreme brings these tools together in a single app with a consistent interface.
Features
- 4 calculation modes: standard; scientific with sin, cos, tan, log, ln, square root, exponents and factorial; finance with VAT, interest, discount, profit margin, installments and body mass index; and a programmer mode with BIN, OCT, DEC, HEX conversions and bitwise operations
- Unit converter: 126 units in 18 categories, including length, area, volume, mass, speed, temperature, pressure, energy, power, force, angle, time, frequency, voltage, current, resistance, illuminance and data size
- Quick tools: VAT at different rates, compound interest, discount, profit margin and installment calculations
Technical approach
I built the app with React Native. When packing this many features into one app, the real challenge was keeping the interface from getting cluttered. So I kept each mode simple on its own screen, split the unit converter into categories and grouped the most-used finance calculations under quick tools.
The app's landing page is at sberke.com/procalcsupreme. Another of my personal utility apps is Scano QR. If you want to build your own tool or business app, take a look at the mobile app development page.
Status
ProCalc Supreme is live on Google Play for Android.
