Almark

Almark is the mobile app Almark Global Lojistik offers its customers. The line on the app's store graphics actually sums up its purpose: all your shipments in one app; sea, air and road, all in a single list. I, Berke Özyaşar, developed this app for our client Almark Global Lojistik. The app is live on Google Play under the company's own developer account.

The need

A customer of a company working across multiple transport modes may need to track a container at sea and a load on the road at the same time. When that information comes through separate channels, tracking gets harder. The app was designed to bring customers' logistics tracking and communication with the company onto a single screen. Instead of the operations team answering the same questions over and over, customers can get to the information they need on their own.

Features

• Booking, In Transit and Arrived tabs, each showing the total number of records
• Filtering with sea, air and road icons, plus text search
• A paginated list that keeps large numbers of records organized
• Cards showing container number, reference, ETS POL and ETA POD dates, B/L type, shipper and consignee
• Jump from a card to the operation details
• Shipment, invoice and notification tabs; messaging with the company

Technical approach

I built the app with React Native. I adapted the shipment tracking structure that started with Buzmavi and evolved through Mitlog and CDA Lojistik to Almark's brand identity and data fields. Reusing the same core components for each company shortens development time, while customizing the interface and fields for each company makes the app feel like it truly belongs to that company.

You can find the details of this approach in my post on React Native logistics apps. If you are considering a similar app for your company, take a look at mobile app development.

Status

The Almark app is live on Google Play.
