Hekimoğlu Uluslararası Taşımacılık is a road freight company based in Edirne, Turkey. Between Turkey and Europe it handles part loads, full truckloads, international and special project transport, and it also offers warehousing. I, Berke Özyaşar, built the website and the content management panel for our client Hekimoğlu Lojistik. The site is live at hekimoglulojistik.com.

The need

The company wanted a site that clearly showcases its fleet and operating licenses, collects quote requests, and lets its own team publish news. Since the panel would be used by a team busy with day-to-day operations, keeping it simple was also important.

What the site includes

  • Homepage slides managed from the panel.
  • About, services and fleet pages, covering standard and mega trailers, tractor units and part-load vehicle types.
  • Company documents: PDFs such as the L2 authorization certificate can be viewed on the page, opened in a new tab or downloaded; view and download counts are tracked.
  • News: a paginated list, detail pages showing read counts, and social media share buttons.
  • A quote form with service selection and a contact form; incoming messages are saved to the database.
  • A mobile-friendly design and a one-tap call button for phones.

The admin panel

The panel includes a dashboard with statistics, news management, document management and incoming messages. News articles are written in the TinyMCE editor, with support for image uploads, SEO fields, featured posts and published, draft or archived statuses. The panel is protected by a secure login and a password change screen.

Technical approach

I wrote the site with PHP and MySQL without using an off-the-shelf CMS. News pages are published with SEO-friendly URLs; slides, news and documents come from the database, so the code does not need to be touched when content changes. For other work I have done for logistics companies, see the Av-Nur website and the Buzmavi mobile app. If you are considering a similar site for your company, I explain how I work on the web development page.
